This workshop is designed to introduce proteomics Core staff and users to the basic principles of R packages designed for proteomics data. The course will assume basic familiarity with mass spectrometry-based proteomics data, but does not assume prior R programming training. The participants will be exposed to practical exercises aimed to import quantitative proteomics data (label-free and isobaric tag) into R followed by exploratory data analysis, basic machine learning techniques, differential abundance, and protein set analysis. We will cover a number of R packages for proteomics data analysis.
