Performing Shotgun Proteomics Analysis on the AWS Cloud Using the Trans-Proteomic Pipeline
The workshop teaches by example how to perform shotgun MS proteomics data analysis from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud using the Trans-Proteomic Pipeline (TPP). Workshop topics include the basics of setting up and accessing an AWS account, transferring data to and from the cloud, and sequestering elastic compute resources in the cloud. Participants will learn how scale their database searches in the cloud for large datasets, as well as validation and quantitation of those database search results. The workshop showcases the TPP, a suite of tools that when combined with cloud computing, enable a diverse range of proteomics analyses, even beyond those highlighted in the workshop.
